DOT Road Projects & Utility Installations

New road projects as well as road-widening projects sometimes encounter contamination from businesses operating near rights-of-way.  Frequently, utilities must be moved during the road building project.  Once excavated, contaminated soil must by regulation be disposed, it cannot be placed back in the excavation.  Contaminated groundwater encountered during dewatering must be contained and properly disposed.

Cohesion closely coordinates with the road construction and utility contractors to provide for efficient, cost effective excavation and dewatering services.

Cohesion has also closed or abandoned over 100 supply wells along new road construction or widening projects.  Well abandonment must be done by a NC Certified Well Contractor.
